5 Best AirTag Alternatives for 2026

by Brandon Duncan

AirTag is still the easiest item tracker to recommend to many iPhone owners, but it is no longer the automatic choice. Android support, rechargeable batteries, built-in attachment points, and lower prices give several rivals a clearer reason to exist.

Start with your phone ecosystem. Then compare battery upkeep, finding network, attachment style, and current availability. The range and battery figures below are manufacturer claims rather than independent test results.

Best AirTag alternatives at a glance

Tracker Best for Price Finding network Battery
Pebblebee Clip 5 Best overall $34.99 Apple Find My or Google Find Hub Up to 12 months, rechargeable
Chipolo POP Best value $29 Apple Find My or Google Find Hub Up to 1 year, replaceable
Galaxy SmartTag2 Best for Galaxy users $29.99 list SmartThings Find Up to 500 days; up to 700 in Power Saving Mode
Tile Pro Best for Life360 users $34.99 Life360/Tile Up to 1 year, replaceable
Belkin SureFind Spot Best budget pick From $14.99 Apple Find My or Google Find Hub Up to 12 months, replaceable

Apple’s second-generation AirTag remains the $29 benchmark, with a louder speaker and longer-range Precision Finding than the original. These alternatives make more sense when you need Android support, rechargeable power, a built-in attachment point, or a different finding network.

These are Bluetooth item finders, not standalone GPS trackers. If you need continuous live location, that is a different product category. Google Find Hub can also share a missing bag’s location with participating airlines, making network choice more useful for frequent travelers.

Pebblebee Clip 5: Best overall

The $34.99 Pebblebee Clip 5 works with either Apple Find My or Google Find Hub. Pebblebee rates its rechargeable battery for up to 12 months, Bluetooth range for up to 500 feet, and water resistance at IP66.

It is the strongest all-rounder here because it works across the two major phone ecosystems and avoids annual coin-cell replacement. Switching between Apple and Google networks requires a factory reset.

Chipolo POP: Best value if you can find it

The $29 Chipolo POP also supports either Apple Find My or Google Find Hub. Chipolo lists a 300-foot Bluetooth range, roughly 120dB ring, IP55 protection, and a replaceable CR2032 battery rated for up to one year.

Google’s $29 Pixel Tag is another Find Hub option, but it does not reach stores until November 11.

Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2: Best for Galaxy users

Samsung’s Galaxy SmartTag2 has a $29.99 list price, a replaceable CR2032 battery, IP67 protection, and a claimed battery life of up to 500 days, or 700 days in Power Saving Mode.

Compatible UWB-enabled Galaxy phones add Compass View for more precise nearby finding. The tradeoff is lock-in: SmartTag2 relies on Samsung’s SmartThings Find rather than Android broadly.

Tile Pro: Best for Life360 users

The $34.99 Tile Pro works with iPhone and Android through Life360. The current model is rated for up to 500 feet of Bluetooth range, a 110dB ring, IP68 water resistance, and one year on a replaceable battery.

Its main appeal is Life360 integration, including an SOS button. Buyers who specifically want Apple Find My or Google Find Hub should choose another tracker.

Belkin SureFind Spot: Best budget option

The new Belkin SureFind Spot starts at $14.99 and supports Apple Find My or Google Find Hub. Belkin lists an 85dB alert, a replaceable CR2032 battery rated for up to 12 months, and a built-in attachment loop.

The price is excellent, but availability is the limitation. Belkin says the tracker begins rolling out in September 2026, so buyers should confirm it is on sale in their market.

Which AirTag alternative should you buy?

Pebblebee Clip 5 is the best overall choice for cross-platform flexibility and rechargeable power. Chipolo POP is the better $29 value when available. SmartTag2 fits Galaxy owners, Tile Pro makes sense for Life360 households, and SureFind Spot is the budget pick once its rollout reaches your market.

AirTag still has the cleanest case for committed Apple users. The strongest alternatives solve a specific AirTag limitation rather than simply copying it.
